Knuckle boom crane is a type of full rotational marine crane. This deck crane is also a type of crane where a horizontal member (supporting a moveable hoist) is fixed to a wall or to a floor-mounted pillar. A knuckle boom crane is quite similar to a standard crane, but the boom articulates at the 'knuckle' near the middle, folding back like a finger. This design offers a compact size for storage and control. Their arms are much lighter than boom truck cranes, and they are designed to allow for more payloads.
